A Quick Wander Around Bakewell
The second stop of the day was Bakewell for a traditional Bakewell Pudding.
The parking situation was an absolute shocker – made worse by the fact that the market was taking over 2 car parks. After finding a space we checked out the markets, but they were starting to close and seemed to be selling mostly generic goods.
After picking up a traditional Bakewell Pudding (totally different to your average Mr Kipling Bakewell Tart), we allowed our son his daily fix of ladders, slides and swings at the local playground!
Before heading back to the accommodation, we stopped at the Thornbridge brewery and tap room for some thirds of Heff, Barley-Quin and Green Mountain (cask) – lovely.
