Heroes Square & Vajdahunyad Castle
Our final day in Budapest we walked to Heroes Square and Vajdahunyad Castle, grabbing delicious grub from the secret places we visited on the food tour.
Firstly we checked out the Budapest Historical City Wall Showroom – mentioned in the Spotted by Locals app.
The route took us past the Hungarian National Museum, the grounds of which were in the process of being renovated. In fact, a lot of places seemed to be having work done!
After obligatory photos at the square we walked through the castle grounds and saw the mysterious Béla Lugosi Bust.
On our way back to the AirBnb flat (a good hour walk) we took the lift to 360 Bar for a couple of pints on the roof. Great weather and lovely views.
