Bodnant Garden
We took a break from hiking and spent a day wandering around Bodnant Garden. Took the Champion Tree tour on which it rained but we had plenty of shelter 😉

After completing the New Precipice Walk and eating a picnic we travelled North about 10 minutes to Coed y Brenin Forest, part of the Snowdonia National Park. The walk took us past two waterfalls, Pistyll Cain and Rheadr Mawddach, along with the ruins of an old mine. After spending 2-3 hours there it was apparent that we had only scratched the surface.

Another recommendation took us to a hidden car park in Llanelltyd, near Dolgellau, to ascend through the forest to the New Precipice Walk.
It took about 2 hours to reach the beginning of the Precipice. Once there the views down the Mawddach Estuary to Barmouth were stunning.

Walking Club’s Delamere Forest Walk enjoyed warm “shorts & t-shirt” weather and clear skies for spectacular views. Shot on an iPhone SE.
On a red hot day in August we walked into Knutsford and back around Tatton Lake. Ice creams were very welcome on the home stretch, albeit rather messy in the heat! Shot on a Canon 350D… Old school.
Walking Club’s Formby Nature Walk took in varied terrain and plenty of wildlife! From funnel web spiders in the heathland to mushrooms growing out of the sand on the beach. A good day was had by all, topped off with a pint at the end of the day. Shot on an iPhone 4S.
Some photos from a trip to Zuberec, Slovakia for a wedding in August. The images focus on the local scenery & a nearby museum. Mostly shot on an iPhone 4S.
