A weekday wander & picnic in the grounds of Quarry Bank Mill.
We woke up to a beautiful sunny morning, so we checked out of our accommodation early & headed to Sizergh Castle for a explore before home.
Parking at the Lakeside car park, we headed to the Hundred Year Stone via Friars Cragg & the waterside path…
Rain stopped play once again, but the sun came out after lunch & we went for a walk around Rydal Water – as far as we could go with the pram. It’s not very pram friendly!
After another rainy start, we headed to Coniston for supplies & a walk to the water’s edge, where we enjoyed some Grasmere gingerbread.
The weather picked up today, but with the bad news that the ferry doesn’t do prams or wheelchairs, Wray Castle was off the table…
