Exploring Whitby
The itinerary of the day included a trek around Whitby, fish & chips from Magpie Café, and putting an offer on a house.
We parked above the town and took in the sights from the Captain Cook Memorial and Whalebone Arch before dropping down to the pier for lunch of fish & chips. Very expensive, but tasty.
Venturing to the end of the pier before turning around and heading over the bridge to check our the Whitby Jet shops – of which, there are plenty! It was here that an offer was placed on the house that we would end up purchasing.
The car was moved to a new location to take full advantage of the free parking, and ice creams were purchased from the van by the train station. Some more wandering was had before we returned to the car and back to the accommodation in Cloughton.
