Birds & Exotic Animals at Filey

A short drive from our accommodation was Filey Bird Garden & Animal Park – well worth a visit if you’re in the area.

Filey is deceptively large & there’s a lot to see, especially if you attend the talks that are scheduled throughout the day. The animals are all well looked after and a joy to watch in their habitats. We saw meerkats, turkeys, all sorts of birds (one called George that could repeat phrases), lemurs, wallabies, alpacas, ponies, donkeys, chipmunks…

There is also a great picnic area and kids playground, complete with a large sand pit. We ended up spending over 3.5 hours at Filey with our expectations thoroughly exceeded.
